Duane Sunby is the lead advisor at Sycamore Retirement Consultants and is an Investment Advisor Representative of LPL Financial. He helps clients navigate a wide range of financial challenges and integrates cost-effective recommendations based on each client’s personal and professional financial goals. He specializes in offering a wide range of custom strategies and solutions to meet his corporate clients’ diverse retirement plan needs and help enable them to pursue their retirement plan goals based on their budget, participant demographics and risk tolerance.
Duane has more than two decades of experience in financial planning and employee benefits. As a member of LPL Financial’s Retirement Partners Group, he is supported by industry-leading resources in providing ERISA discretionary and non-discretionary investment services to retirement plan sponsors. Through LPL, he has access to robust, integrated tools that allow him to efficiently develop, monitor and serve retirement plans at the highest level of fiduciary accountability.
Duane has a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, has passed the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 exams (held with LPL Financial), and holds life and health insurance licenses in multiple states. Duane is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), which means he has obtained specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibilities and has the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. The designation is the culmination of a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive, closed-book final exam and adherence to the AIF® Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards.
